NDRC welcomes new Accelerator MD and seven game-changing startups
NDRC welcomes co-founder of Sendy, Malaika Judd as the new Managing Director of NDRC Accelerator and announces the seven tech startups successfully selected for the programme (57% women-led or co-founded startups) which will take place in Dogpatch Labs, Ireland’s leading innovation hub-based in Dublin - one of Europe’s most vibrant tech ecosystems.
Founders from the seven startups hail from Waterford, Kildare, Clare, and Dublin, with one of the cohort companies completing both the NDRC Founder Weekend and NDRC Pre-Accelerator before being successfully accepted to this year’s programme. These globally ambitious entrepreneurs are tackling huge challenges with their tech businesses, and operating in diverse industries including pharma, finance, sales, investment, tourism, digital accessibility, blockchain, and tax reporting.
Kicking off this week, startups will learn directly from over 30 renowned successful mentors and entrepreneurs including Eoin Hinchy, co-founder of ‘soonicorn’ Tines which raised $50M this year, Ciara Flood co-founder of &Open, which raised $26M Series A, and Hostelworld’s Ray Nolan, who built and sold Hostelworld for one of Ireland's biggest tech sales at the time for $500 million. Teams get exclusive access to NDRC’s ecosystem network, join the ever-growing startup alumni community, and receive 1:1 mentoring from top investors, entrepreneurs, and technical experts.
All seven startups also receive €100K funding on founder-friendly SAFE investment terms to support their growth in the programme.
Highlighting the significance of expanding the NDRC team, NDRC Managing Director Ian Browne expressed his excitement, stating: “At NDRC one of our core principles is to be entrepreneur-led. That means bringing in experienced entrepreneurs to help support the next generation of Irish startups. I am delighted to welcome someone with such stellar credentials as Malaika to the team and her international experience will undoubtedly add significant value not just to this cohort but to the whole NDRC organisation.”
The new NDRC Accelerator Managing Director Malaika Judd said, “This new cohort of startups is next level. I’m very excited to be leading the team accelerating these entrepreneurs and look forward to mentoring them as they scale, fast.”
